The harvest in 2009 have begun for three weeks and with the weather se of July, August and September we can imagine being on the eve of a great vintage. The dry white wines are very aromatic but perhaps lacking a little acidity. We will see at the end of fermentation what remains. The manual harvesting of red grapes allowed us to make a good rosé and red wines certainly anthology. At a time when I speak, the fermentation is going very well and the gradual extraction of tannins is interesting. I am just attacking the first sort of Semillon grapes for Monbazillac. Sanitary conditions are somewhat questionable because a big storm has suddenly brought a lot of water to the roots of the vine and I found a number of grapes that had a tendency to explode. If the weather holds, the following sorts may be exceptional.
